After a sensational second semi-final, the scores are in. This week, Deathly Hallows Part II received 85% of the final vote, meaning that it knocks out the Half-Blood Prince just before the Final Battle, which takes place this week. (Full results of Semi Final #2 can be found here!)

And so.. it all comes down to this. The place where our journey through Harry Potter’s life began in 2001, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, against the place where our journey ended just last month, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II. Some would argue that this outcome was fate, meant to happen. Two defining moments in our childhood are about to battle it out for the title of The Ultimate Harry Potter Film.
Who wins is completely up to you. You will have one vote, and one vote only. The poll for the Final Battle can be found on my Tumblr Page (on the sidebar on my left). You have until Thursday, September the 1st 2011 at 11:00am to cast your vote. Failure to do so before then will mean that the Hogwarts Express will leave without you and your opinions, so make sure you get it in on time! The results of the final vote will be hidden until September 1st at 7PM GMT, when the Ultimate Battle comes to a conclusion with an evening of posts from the winning movie!

Aim: To discover once and for all which is the most popular film of the Harry Potter film series.
Method: Four weeks ago, each film was assigned a number according to their chronology in the series (1 for Philosopher’s Stone through to 8 for Deathly Hallows Part 2). I then used a computer randomiser to determine the pairings of films. Each week, one pair will go face to face, with the winner proceeding to the semi-finals. Once four semi-finalists are found, the process will repeat, until two films are left to battle it out for the crown of ultimate Harry Potter film.

After a thrilling third week of voting, the scores are in. This week, the results were almost identical to last week’s! The Half-Blood Prince got the most votes, defeating my personal favourite, The Chamber of Secrets, which means it advances to the Semi-Finals, which will occur after all four rounds have taken place (Psst.. next week!). Stay tuned for this week’s contenders!
