“The Room of Requirement is a secret room within Hogwarts that only appears when a person is in great need of it. The room has the ability to transform itself into whatever the witch or wizard requires at that moment in time. There are a some restrictions on what can be produced inside the room. For example, it cannot conjure food, as that is one of the five Principal Exceptions to Gamp’s Law of Elemental Transfiguration. It is believed that the room is Unplottable, as it does not appear on the Marauder’s Map, nor does its occupants. This could purely be because the original creators never found the room.”
