I want the TARDIS to appear from the ground, surrounded by fog. Matt Smith, followed by Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will emerge from the TARDIS. The Doctor will exclaim, “Here we are, the London 2012 Opening Ceremony!”. The sonic screwdriver beeps, and he checks it. He says “Oh.. we’re three weeks out”. The crew get back inside the TARDIS and it sinks to the ground.
A simple nod to our time travelling friend, which also suggests that the Doctor, Amy and Rory did go to the Opening Ceremony, and we just didn’t see them.
